I am Chef Samantha McJunkin - welcome to my home.  I moved into The Chef's House in December 2016.  If it takes a village to raise a child - then it takes a TEAM to keep The Chef's House thriving.  We are lucky to have a small group of AWESOME dedicated and committed employees - without them, none of this would be possible.  With low turnover the Team works well together.  We're ordinary people like you!

While we do not fit into the 'conventional-normal-box' - we thrive because we constantly adapt to the environment.  We try new things, new recipes, new services.   If we see a need in the community, the first question is always, "can we fill the need?"  There are no failures, there are only mistakes and mistakes can turn into Happy Accidents! 

It's all about the experience - from the oldies music we play, the eclectic decor or the Modern Southern Cuisine (with a twist) - our goal is to build a long-term relationship with your taste buds.  Dancing and singing are optional but always welcomed.

Let's make some Magic.  Cooking is like alchemy and food is my Passion!  As a graduate of Johnson & Wales University I have been classically trained and educated.  Spices, herbs and quality ingredients are the building blocks of great food.   We locally source as much of our food as possible.   We have a raised bed in the front yard where we get our basil, chocolate mint, cilantro and lemon thyme - plus rosemary bushes.  That's FRESH!  The goal is to serve healthy, properly-portioned meals that excite taste buds - and make you sigh and smile at the same time.  Music to my ears.

We welcome our guests sharing their personal favorite or Radical-Recipe.  We try them and then serve them up as our Sunday-Specials (it may  take me a little while - but we get there).  We want to hear from you!  If you have a unique recipe - fill out the contact box to the left - reach out and don't be shy! 

The two people I know I can count on are my parents (my partners).  Having a restaurant in a 100+ year old house requires 'special care' and a gentle touch.  Thank you Dad for being the Keeper-of-the-Daddy-Do-List.  The man can fix ANYTHING!  And my Mom - well - she keeps it 'real' - everybody needs 'that' person in their life!   Love you both!

Personally - I don't want to wake up one day and realize I was having the 'time of my life' and I missed it!  Life shows up for me everyday, I figure the least I can do is 'show up for life' and give it my all.  What about you?  :-)
